Ulta Haul!

So last week Melissa and I went to do a bunch of errands and went to Ulta. This was my very first time there and oh emmm geeee! I could spend my whole day there! They have low end to high end products all of which I love! Plus awesome deals! :) We went for the Ulta brand deal where you spend $12 and get a eyeliner or lip balm. Plus we had $3.50 off of $10 purchase and on top of that they had most of their makeup on sale! So I scored a gel liner, a 4 pack of mini nail polishes along with 2 regular polishes, and a mineral lip gloss. I had a sample of one of their lipglosses of which I fell in love with and of course it was exclusive to the kit so I we tried to match it to something in their regular line. Grand total spend was around $10 after my coupon and saved $23.50!

Also the other day I went to Bath and Body Works to exchange a couple items and they had $5 fall body care plus a free candle with any home fragrance purchase! So I got 2x as much with my exchange since I purchased all fall body care that was on sale! Plus I picked up a room spray in Pumpkin Cupcake which smells awesome! I love fall scents!! :)

Trash Talk! Empties!

It's that time again where I have a decent amount of products that I have finished up or mostly finished and share with you my final thoughts about them!
First up is the Neutrogena pink grapefruit facial scrub. I was using this every other day on my face until my aesthitician told me no more scrubbing :( So I used it up at as a body scrub. It was average for me, didn't love it or wow me at all. I won't be repurchasing.
Next up is the Loreal curling mousse. This one is without sulfates and stuff and smells like vanilla which I loved. I liked how it made my hair feel and look but I had to shake it like crazy for quite awhile to get it to squirt out. It still has product it in but even after shaking for about 5 minutes then trying to squirt out nothing came out! Booo...such a waste! So I wouldn't repurchase because of that.
Avon's sexy body butter was pretty good. I don't think they have it anymore. I did start to get sick of the scent about halfway through the tub. It's a nice scent but I just got tired of it.
Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation is awesome! I am trying to finish this up and I am getting close. This stuff is suppose to be a primer, concealer, and foundation all in one. I love that it has a pump dispenser. I use a stipple brush to apply it and blend and it sets fast. Be warned though it does darken a little after you put in on. So if at first you think your shade is a bit too light, just wait like a half hour or so, maybe less, and it will change a bit.
I finally used up a bottle of my Yes To Tomatoes cleanser.I have 2 backups of this so I do like it. I am going to switch to using cleansing oils on my skin at night since my skin is still the same.  But it's a nice, gentle, mostly natural cleanser.
Lastly, I have my travel sized bottle of Love Spell from Victoria's Secret. Who doesn't like this scent? I have used this forever! They now have the perfume version of Love Spell which I have so yes I'd repurchase it once the perfume runs out but that will take forever I think!
Not pictured but I did use up my 3 wick candle from Bath and Body Works in the scent Summer Smores. Yumm...smells like summer campfires with smores! :) I also used up 2 of my Glade Pumpkin Spice candles!

September favorites!

It's that time again for September favorites!
Makeup related post mostly, but I'll toss in some other random favorites!
I have been using Pur Minerals correcting face primer lately. This works alright, I haven't noticed a big change in my skin at all. But I will use it up but wouldn't repurchase.
I am also trying to finish up my Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation. I really do like this foundation! It goes on nicely and is lightweight feeling and keeps my combo skin from looking gross! I just need to use it up to try to use up the rest of my foundations I have in my stockpile!
I have been really loving my Lancome Definicils mascara. I got this free after doing a weeks worth of surveys from Loreal. This stuff is amazing! If I won the lottery I would always buy this stuff but since I don't have that kind of money I will just enjoy the freebie and then move on to my drugstore mascaras!
I have also been using Pur Minerals eye primer. This works pretty decent but I prefer my $1 elf primer over it. But I thought I'd branch out and try new things so now I know! :)
My favorite eyeshadow this month has been Maybelline color tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, such a pretty color for fall! I use this and then use my eyeliner from Ulta Gel liner in black/brown and it looks pretty good for a daily look for work. The Ulta Gel Liner is amazing! It glides on like a dream and won't budge one bit! Catch it on sale and give it a try! :)
Lastly, I have been enjoying my St. Lucia blush and bronzer duo from Elf Cosmetics. It's $3 and look at the beautiful big mirror plus a blush and a bronzer! They are practically giving it away!
Some other random favorites this month has been my wax warmer that I purchased from Jewel. It's made by Glade and was only $10! I have purchased all different scents to enjoy! I am loving Scentsy's French Toast!
I also love Glade's candles in Fall Harvest and Pumpkin Spice(pretty sure that's the names!) They are seasonal so go grab them! :) Make sure to use a coupon and catch it on sale of course!
I also love my Kitchenaid mixer! It's amazing!!!! I have been making homemade pizzas like no other! I recently made BBQ Chicken pizza and it was delish! I am still playing around with the crust recipe but no matter what we eat it up!
I am also really love nude/grey/light pink nail polishes! So pretty! :) And my nails are growing more! Hooray!
Happy Fall! :)

Ipsy first impression!

A few months ago I signed up tho join Ipsy. It is a subscription service that $10 a month including shipping and they send a monthly glam bag full of sample and full size items! This is my very first bag and I am happy with it! I love trying new things so this is a great way to do so! The theme this month is classic beauty! :)
In the mail I got this super cute bag with the card saying all the brands this month they worked with.  You can take a little quiz to help customize your bag! :)
I received 3 paper facial masks which will be fun to try on a girls night! I also received a sampler look from Michelle Phans makeup line.
The lipstick is from J cats beauty. This is in honeycrisps which is a nice nude! It feels creamy and hydrating!
I also received a black kohl liner from Starlooks. Seems like a nice black liner.
I was super excited to see a NYX eyeshadow in my bag since I have never tried but have heard great things! Its a lovely grey sparkle color that will be nice for fall! The color is cryptonite.
Lastly I got the Its So Big mascara, I have not opened it since I am trying to use a few up before I start another!

Overall I like my goodies and cannot wait to play with it all! Also tou can go onto ipsy's site and get discounts on the brands they worked with this month! My bag was definitely worth the $10!

Elf review!

Happy Friday! Hope you all have lovely plans for the weekend! We are planning to head to the Dells for the weekend to visit family and hit up the Chinese Buffet! :) We may make a pit stop in Middleton at Hubbard Avenue Diner for their amazing pie!!

I am super excited for fall! Today I threw on my new olive long sleeve top from Gordman's along with my Silver jeans and some cute cream colored crocheted flats from Walmart. I love fall and all the pretty colors! Love football, cozy outfits, and delicious treats and beverages!

I decided on my day off this week to bake like crazy! So I made 3 homemade pizzas, froze 2 and ate 1. They are amazing! Anthony actually gets full after eating it, which is good! And devours the pizza! I also made peanut cookies along with some homemade bread! And it all turned out fantastic! :) I will post more about that next week with recipes! :)

Anywho...I had ordered some back up makeup remover wipes from Elf and got to pick $20 worth of stuff to get free so I picked out 2 mineral lipsticks in Nicely Nude and Runway Pink and the new prism eyeshadow palette in Naked. Now in the photos the one that looks more pink is Nicely Nude and the one that looks more nude is Runway Pink...I know it seems backwards but that's what they say! :)  I love these two lipsticks! I am a lipgloss kind of gal but I really like these! They are hydrating, feel good on the lips, and last awhile too! Only dislike I have is that they kind of smell like melted crayons but it goes away after being applied to your lips. They are $5 on eyeslipsface.com, but catch a 50% off sale or other sales they do to get them for cheap!

The prism eyeshadow palette has 6 shadows, I picked the Naked palette, which is all nude colors. They are very soft, light, buttery texture and holy moly are they pigmented! The photo below is me hardly touching the product and swatched without any eyelid primer! These are ah-maz-ing! Elf shadows are hit or miss mostly but these are hands down the best ones they have! I do love their baked eyeshadow palette as well but this is better! It's $10 on their site which is kind of a steep price for Elf, but catch it on sale to save some money! :) If you know me or read at least one blog post you know to always get stuff on sale!! That's just how I roll!

So phew! I hope this wasn't too long of a post! :) But I also hope you enjoyed yourself and seeing pretty colors! I think this prism palette will be great for fall!
Have a fabulous weekend!

Updates!

I apologize for the lack of posts lately! But I promise I have lots of posting to do in the near future! :) We are heading back home to WI for the weekend so that should be fun!! I did a bunch of baking tonight, if you have me on Facebook I am sure you saw all the tasty photos! I will post the recipes along with photos soon!
There are some great deals this week at CVS such as $1.99 for a gallon of milk. Aldi has theirs for $1.89 but when I went it as all picked over :( Plus I had $4ecb to use at CVS so it was free! :) They also have 99 cent eggs along with a great Sally Hansen nail polish deal! Spend $10 on Sally Hansen nail products and get $5 back! I bought 2 polishes at $5.79 each and got $5 back for my next purchase! Awesome sauce!
I am still trying to be on a no buy...I did have to place an order from elf though but it was a combined order with 2 other people! :) I recently cleaned out my makeup collection and tossed out items that are over a year old or products I didn't like or were pretty much empty. It feels good to do that sometimes! I still have plenty of makeup goodies for the next like 5 years! I guess that is my first world problem! Too much makeup in my collection! LOL
Anywho, just thought I'd drop a quick post in case you were wondering if I have disappeared or something!
Have a lovely evening and stay tuned for some recipe and DIY posts! :)

Crockpot BBQ Pineapple Chicken

This is a super easy recipe to toss in your crockpot that is delish! Just grab some frozen chicken, canned pineapple, and your favorite BBQ or Buffalo sauce! I layered it in the crockpot with BBQ sauce, then half of the pineapple then I put the chicken on top then more BBQ sauce and topped it off with the pineapple! Easy peasy! Cook it on low for about 8 hours. I usually whip up some brown rice and mix it in at the end but you can totally eat it just like this or put it on tortilla shells for a fun taco night! The chicken will shred super easy! :) Let me know if you try this and if you like it! Obviously the taste can vary a bit depending what BBQ sauce you use. Happy Thursday!

I went to CVS after hearing about this awesome deal on the CVS 5 razor. There's a $5 off coupon printing at the coupon machine plus you can use your % off coupon from the paper to make it uber cheap! AND there was a $2ecb that printed on my receipt for the razor purchase! I also stacked $3 off $10 razor, shave prep, or deodorant purchase and a $2 off Gillette coupon. I also used my $1.50 off any cough drop purchase. I decided to splurge on a hand lotion that was 99 cents! Smells awesome! :) So I spent $5. 57 and saved $15.39! Plus I have $2ecb for my next purchase! Don't forget you can keep scanning your card at the coupon machine until it says there's no more coupons to print for the day! :) Go run to your local CVS to score your uber cheap razor!! :)

Update and Randomness! :)

So we have been quite busy lately with Anth's Mom and Sister coming to visit plus the Taste going on Labor Day weekend along with visiting Uncle Frankie and do this, that, and whatever! But we've had a lot of fun going here and there and seeing everyone!
On Sunday, I saw on Krazy Coupon Lady that Kohl's had the Kitchen-aid Mixer on sale plus 20% plus Kohl's Cash PLUS a mail in rebate AND if you went through ebates.com you got 6% cash back! So once we are all said and done I paid just $133 for my Kitchen-aid Mixer! I am sooo excited! I already have a laundry list if things I want to bake and make homemade! Melissa and I are thinking of doing a baking night where we go batshit crazy making everything! :)
Also, I have signed up for Ipsy. It's a monthly "glam bag" filled with various name brand cosmetic items. Some are samples and some are full size plus you always get a cute bag! :) It's just $10 a month and thought I'd mix things up a bit by giving this a go! That way I can share what I think with you guys and if you are interested you can join!
And on top of all that stuff going on, I have also challenged myself to "shop my stash" and use up a bunch of things since we are pretty well stocked. But if I can still get something for uber cheap, trust me- I won't let that slip through my pretty manicured fingers!
Oh and speaking of manicures! I have been getting into painting my nails more! I trying to do it weekly to mix things up and get my nails to grow longer! Tonight I painted my nails with Plum Perfect from Ulta. It's a pretty purple that's still brigh tenough to remind me of summer but dark enough where it says fall is coming soon!
This morning I went to Starbucks and hooked myself and Melissa up with PUMPKIN LATTES!!! OH YEAH! THEY ARE BACK BABY!!! We were seriously uber excited like we were a kid in a candy store!! Melissa said that "It's like fall in your mouth!" Which I agree! So run to Starbucks to get your fix!
I am also really itching to get another tattoo. I actually have 2 in mind! I want my zodiac sign-Libra, on the inside of my left ankle and I am also in love with this rose tattoo from Pinterest to put on my right shoulder. It looks awesome and sexy and beautiful! Rose option 1  Rose option 2  --Check those two links out. I am seriously in love! I am debating whether I'd want some leaves or something with it or just keep in simple. I am still researching and I am sure once I see the draw up I will fall in love! :)

Phewie, now that I've made you read a book I probably should go wash my face and get ready for bed! I am off in the morning tomorrow so I get to take a little snoozefest! Hope you all have a lovely Labor Day Holiday! Night!

CVS run!

Happy Labor Day! We are having my lovely friend and her fiance over for chicken and sweet corn! It's a lovely day out today! Since we only have water and milk in the fridge I ran to CVS to pick up some soda for a variety of beverages for us and CVS has BOGO FREE 2 liter coca cola products! Plus there is a $1 off any P&G brand item making Puffs tissues FREE! :) I also snagged some milk for $1.69 & 50 cent Campbell's soup with printable coupon! Dawn dishsoap is on sale for 88 cents! Plus on top of all of that I had $5ecb to use from last week so I paid just 93 cents out of pocket! Saved $12.27! I hope you all are having a great weekend! We have been busy with family visiting! :)
