My new hat!
I went shopping the other day with my new friend Melissa and I found this hat at Kohls! Its by Marc Anthony and it was normally $34 I think an I got it for $10 and change thanks to Melissa's 30% & my $10 off coupon! :) This hat is perfect for summer! And I am in love with it!
Naked palette look!
I am playing around with colors for a look for my friend's wedding. Here's one idea maybe but regardless its a pretty look from my Naked palette.I started with a maybelline color tattoo in Inked in pink, these are great bases and don't crease! I used toasted all over my lid, hustle in the outer third of the lid, sin as a inner corner highlight, & creep dabbed in the far outer corner. I used tarte cashmere eyeliner along with elf volumizing mascara! :) I hope you enjoy this lovely Sunday!

CVS haul!
I ran to cvs this morning since the coupon machine was printing a free paper towel roll coupon! Plus, I had a couple of good coupons to use and then the cvs coupon printer printed $5 off $25 & I had a 20% off coupon too! So I ended up getting all this for $10.92 plus I got $4 extrabucks for my next cvs purchase! I used $4/2 & $3/2 covergirl coupons and my 2 $1/1 revlon coupons stacked with my cvs $3 off revlon eye or lip purchase. So that was a handful of coupons but saved me $25.16! So that is awesome! I've always wanted to try the revlon lip butters so this was the perfect time to try! :) I picked up the colors berry smoothie & lollipop. Reviews to come soon! Happy sunday!

HSN haul!
I purchased a Too Faced kit from HSN since I had $20 off $40 purchase. The set was on sale for $54 plus free shipping. Minus $20 I paid $34 with free shipping! :) First impressions are that these are all so pretty and the bb cream will match my skin! The primed and poreless feels so soft and luxurious! The swatches are the bb cream, lip liner, & lipstick. I'll do a full review after playing a few weeks! :)
DIY iced coffee and coffee body scrub!
Then I saw on Pinterest you can make your own coffee body scrub by using the coffee grounds. So my mixture was the leftover coffee grounds, sugar, and olive oil. You can add vanilla extract to get a vanilla scent in there which is a nice combo with the coffee smell. I've made this in the past and it works quite well plus the olive oil hydrates your skin which feels fabulous! I mix all the ingredients until its in a thick consistency, you won't need a lot of olive oil for this by the way. It is quite messy in the shower but it all rinses away no problem! So anyone that would like to give this a try and re-purpose their coffee grounds for a body scrub, let me know how it went for you! :)
Stay cool in this hot and humid weather!

Bruno Mars Concert!
Last night Anthony and I went to the United Center in Chicago to see Bruno Mars. Holy Cow! He is super talented and a funny guy! We went downtown earlier and got a little lost thanks to our GPS punking us and taking us to the ghetto, lol.
Eventually we found our way and we walked around the United Center checking the statues out when we see a group of people with Bruno Mars Moonshine Jungle Tour jackets on taking a photo in front of the Micheal Jordan statue. Anthony was reading something on the back of the statue and I tell him to get out of the way since this group is trying to take a picture. All the while I am thinking this little guy on the end who has a small afro couldn't be Bruno Mars because he'd be too busy getting ready and stuff. Nope, it was him! We were about 10 feet away from him! So. Awesome. It all happened so fast that we didn't realize it until after they walked away! In the back of this photo you can see a couple band members going back in!
We walked down a bit to a cute Mexican restaurant and grabbed a bite to eat. Quite tasty food and beverages. We were uber thirsty and mostly wanted water, but food is always good too!

How to get coupons
*Buy the Sunday paper! This is where most of the coupons are at! I've scored free small smoothie coupons for McDonald's plus some weeks you get 3-4 coupon inserts and sometimes only 1 but it always pays for itself!
*Email your favorite brands and brands you want to try. About half of the emails you send out to companies will end up getting you coupons in the mail! Some reply with check your local paper so that isn't as fun. But the companies that do send you the coupons, you can get a lot! So never be afraid to email them. The worst thing that can happen is that they reply with a no! It's not that bad :)
*Print coupons from your computer. Coupons.com and Target.com are my favorite places to get coupons to go shopping. Especially when you can stack coupons at Target to save more money!
*Ask friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, etc for their coupon inserts if they aren't going to use them. Even the gas station may have extra Sunday papers and will give them to you for free sometimes!
*Look on retailmenot.com or do a google search. If you are looking for specific coupon, check retailmenot.com if it's for a store or do a google search or go directly to the brands website.
*Do surveys. I did a weeks worth of surveys for Loreal and then about a month later they sent me over $300 worth of free product from their brands! I had Vichy skincare, Lancome cosmetics, and Loreal cosmetics! It was awesome! :) I will find the link for you to join it!
*Check out the Dollar Tree. Dollar Tree takes coupons! Say if you have 75 cents off any Colgate toothpaste and Dollar Tree everything is only $1 and they have Colgate toothpaste. You will get that toothpaste for 25 cents!! :) I've also found Campbell's slow cook kettle soup there and had $1 off coupon making it FREE!
I hope this helps you a bit more in your couponing journey to savings! I know since we've moved I am going to be in hardcore couponing mode!
Aldi grocery store is another great place to save money on food if your local store doesn't have any great deals with coupons. Aldi does not take coupons but their prices are very low! :)

Coupon abbreviations
I thought tonight I'd share with you some common abbreviations in the couponing world.
BOGO/B1G1= Buy one get one
BOGO50%= Buy one get one half price
Q/CPN= Coupon
GDA= Good deal alert
MQ/Mfr Q=Manufacturer coupon
DND= Do not double
ECB= Extracare bucks(CVS Pharmacy)
$1/1= $1 off 1 item, can also be like $5/2 which means $5 off 2 items or any other variation of value and amount of items.
MIR=Mail in rebate
Peelie= Coupon that is on the product at the store and you can peel off to use right away at checkout.
WYB= When you buy
WSL= While supplies last
Blinkie= Coupon in the box attached to the store shelf.
CRT= Cash register tape
Dbl Q= Double coupon, a coupon that can be doubled in value. Such as $1/1 item coupon the store will double in value at checkout so you will get $2/1.
ETS= Excludes trial size
FAR= Free after rebate
GC= Gift card
Filler= An item you get to fill your total so you get a percentage off of dollar amount off your total. For example, $5 off of $20 purchase coupon and your total is $18.50, you'd find an item closest to the remaining amount of $1.50 to make your total the $20 in order to get the $5 off.

Tear pad= A pad of rebate forms or coupons on the display or store shelf.
PSA= Prices start at
SS= Smart source coupon insert in the Sunday paper.
Stacking= When you can use a manufacturer coupon with a store coupon for the same item. For example, you may use a manufacturer coupon with a Target or CVS store coupon as long as it's for the same product. Say I purchase a body wash on sale for $2.99, I an use my $1/1 manufacturer coupon plus my store coupon for $1/1, they will scan both coupons for the item to take my total down to 99 cents.
CAT/Catalina= Coupons that print at the register after your purchase in made. These can be like cash on your next purchase. If they say "manufacturer coupon" on it, then you should be able to use it any store.
I hope this helps you understand the coupon lingo a bit better! Let me know if I missed anything, I think this is a pretty good list though! Have a fabulous Monday night!

Coupon and Flash Deal websites to check out!
First one when I began couponing was www.coupondivas.com, this lady is fabulous! She has more beginner couponing information as well as with match ups for many stores and sunday coupon preview link!
Another great site is www.krazycouponlady.com, I've found great last minute deals on here plus she had more helpful advice!
A great site when you shop online to go to before you checkout is Ebates. It's like an online rebate site. You go to Ebates, search for the store you will be shopping at online, click through their link and you are on your way to earning cash back! You can get anywhere between 1% to like 20% cash back on each purchase at different stores. Every couple of months you'll earn your Big Fat Check from them which can go into your Paypal account or they will mail a check to you. This site is awesome! I've earned like $80 back just from Ebates! Sometimes the cash back is greater than the actual purchase after using my online coupons at the sites I shop at!
Check it out and earn a gift card after you sign up: http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=YrbZwuzk6bzDqb72VwwwMg%3D%3D
Retailmenot.com has online and in store coupons as well. Whenever I make a quick stop into Bath and Body Works for example, I always log on to this site before I checkout to see if there are any online coupons I can show the cashier! But they have pretty much almost every store on there!
Groupon is great for daily deals or deals that last for a couple days or weeks. I've scored coupons for half price haircuts, massages, dental exams, clothing deals, vacation deals, etc. There's a little bit of everything! Link to Groupon: http://www.groupon.com//raf/UserReferral_rp/121015/10r1act/lk/uu14868613
Hautelook.com is a flash deal site where you can get high end products for a great discount! I've purchased many beauty items that I could never afford on there for much less! The shipping is slow but it's worth it! Click through this link below and I believe they give you $10 credit! http://www.hautelook.com/invite/RRuland658
Livingsocial is similar to Groupon with the daily and weekly deals. I've purchased deals for various services like haircuts, yoga, etc on there and it's all been great! www.livingsocial.com
Once again, these are just some of my favorite couponing sites and deal sites. Most of them also have a Facebook page as well if you'd like to follow them!

June beauty favorites!
Physician formula coupon peelies!
At Target I saw on most Physicians Formula products a buy one get one free coupon! This brand is a bit pricier for the drugstore but they have great products! This coupon will get you two products for the price of one! :) I also saw their nail polish trios had $5 off coupon too! :) I enjoy their airbrushed powder and they have lots of bronzers to choose from! Share your haul and deals! :) Happy shopping!
Couponing 101
Everyone is always amazed how I score deals like paper towels for 17 cents or other various deals for pennies on the dollar. So here's the start to my Couponing 101:
1. You want to always get the Sunday paper. This is where you find most of your coupons to use for your deals. Usually the WI State Journal and Chicago paper offer deals if you subscribe. When we moved to IL I received a coupon in the welcome pack from USPS for 99 cents per week to have the Sunday paper delivered. This will save on gas and get you your coupons! The paper will pay for itself regardless if you subscribe to it or buy it at the store. Usually the paper is about $1.99-$2.50 at the stores when I've purchased it in the past.
2. Sign up for the reward cards! This is where I score a lot of my freebies too. I am signed up for CVS, DSW, and Victoria's Secret rewards. These do not cost money to sign up for, you'll get a card to have in your wallet or on your keys to scan when you go in(except VS you'll just get coupons in the mail). Plus I have the VS, Kohl's, Old Navy credit cards. These are great ones to have because they will send you extra deals or perks just for having the card! I get FREE underwear coupons from VS about every other month. DSW emails you $10 off coupons almost monthly and I always get a 3 pack of socks for $10.95 and then after the $10 off it makes the socks $1 with tax! They are usually name brands too which is great! :) Kohl's has sent me $5 and $10 off coupons along with 15%, 20%, or even 30% off coupons! :) The Old Navy card you get points for your purchases at Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Gap. Once you hit a certain amount of points you can earn $5-$10 reward to use in store! I recently signed up for the Walgreens reward card too and will be learning more about that so I can share with you as well! Another great rewards card is the Goodwill card, yes it's a thrift store but when you spend $20 or more you get 5% off plus they will send you 25% off coupon on your birthday! Thrift stores are always pretty inexpensive so this is just a great addition to help your wallet!
3. Print coupons from coupons.com There are other sites to print coupons but this is my main one since they usually have the best coupons and they all work at the stores. Target also has a coupon section for name brand and their own generic brands as well. I've scored many deals using those. You can even stack coupons there(will post more info about stacking another day) so you can score some free stuff!
4. Sign up for email and text alerts. Follow your favorite stores/brands on Facebook. Most of the time when you sign up for these you can just delete them if there's not a good deal but sometimes you'll get great deals this way! Sometimes with Facebook, companies will post deals only for their FB fans. I've scored many free Bath and Body Works products this way, usually a free travel sized item but it's still free! Just print out the coupon or show it to the cashier on your smart phone and you are set!
5. Start with learning the coupon policy of 1-2 of your favorite stores and master it. Start off slow and learn one or two of your favorite stores policies. Some stores are pickier than others. Usually they will have a link for their coupon policy online or you can ask a manager for one at the store. When in doubt with using a coupon, just ask and see if you can use it. Sometimes they say you can't and sometimes you can and then you'll score a fabulous deal! I will also try to find the coupon policy links and share that with you! Remember, it never hurts to ask and the worst thing that they can say is no! Also remember to be patient and not get too worked up or nervous when you are at the checkout. I remember when I first started I'd get nervous when they would scan my coupon and it would beep that it wouldn't work. Just be patient and you will get through it. Sometimes they call up for a manager and it usually gets worked out and you still get your deals! :)
I hope this information is helpful for you to start your couponing adventures! Please let me know your favorite stores and deals you find!
--Randi
It's official!
But anywho...I will be posting photos of deals and information on couponing 101. Let me know of stores you'd like me to keep you updated on with deals. I normally get the best deals at CVS,Old Navy, Kohls, DSW, Victoria's Secret, Dollar Tree, and can get good deals at grocery stores too. But I have to figure out the Jewel Osco coupon policy so we will see how that goes! I love couponing and scoring free stuff and sometimes you can even walk out with the store paying you! So stay tuned!
